About Massage Therapy

Swedish Massage techniques are used to rehabilitate injuries from accidents or repetitive strain. The benefits of massage include increased circulation in both blood and lymphatic fluid.

This helps to decrease swelling from more recent or acute injuries, increase healing time after trauma and decrease heart rate and blood pressure.

In general there is a better source of nutrients to all cells and removal of waste/toxins with improved circulation. There are certain chemicals produced by the body in response to stress (including emotional and physical trauma). Massage helps to reduce both the physiological and psychological elements of stress which aides the body's ability to function and remain in balance.

Massage Therapy can also be an effective treatment for:

  • Migraine or tension headaches
  • Tendonitis
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Thoracic outlet syndrome
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Disc Herniation (slipped disc)
  • Sciatica
  • TMJ (jaw)
  • Trigger Points (knotted muscles)
